One year ago, in eight weeks, we cultivated walls from nothing and wired a soundsystem like roots through soil. Three friends seeded an idea. The community grew it into reality.
This is the paradox: the most vital cultural organism in Berlin exists without institutional nourishment. We are independently sustained, self-generating, perpetually creating the conditions for our own existence.
Art is not a luxury. Culture is not optional. This space is proof.

INPUT: Human labor. Creative energy. Financial sacrifice. Love that defies economic logic. Dedication measured not in hours but in years of accumulated care.
PROCESS: Three friends fund what governments will not. Talented builders construct what corporations cannot commodify. Community members contribute what cannot be quantified.
OUTPUT: A platform for collective growth. A home for experimentation. A living organism where culture breathes without institutional mediation.
We are not funded by the state. We are not backed by institutions. We are not a corporation seeking profit. We are not a club extracting membership.
We are an autonomous cultural ecosystem, self-sustaining through collective will.

Every person connected to this space is a variable in the equation of its survival:
Builder + Organizer + Artist + Musician + Thinker + Maker + Cleaner + Visitor = SPACE
Remove any element, and the equation becomes unstable. Each contribution—visible or invisible, compensated or uncompensated—sustains the whole. This is mathematical truth. This is human truth.
We are hundreds of amazing creative people connected by shared vision, bound by mutual respect, unified in our refusal to let authentic culture die.
Time, Value, and the Measurement of What Matters

Time collapses here. Past effort (building), present maintenance (sustaining), and future possibility (creating) exist simultaneously. We are always constructing what already exists.
Berlin's cultural vitality depends on spaces like ours. Not the funded institutions preserving yesterday. Not the corporate venues selling culture as product. The underground. The independent. The impossible-yet-existing.
We are where movements begin before they have language. Where artists develop before they have market. Where community forms before it has structure. Where experimentation happens before it has outcome.

The Philosophy of Maintenance

Maintaining this space is philosophical practice:
Premise: Culture requires space. Premise: Space requires care. Premise: Care requires commitment from everyone. Conclusion: Everyone's action determines culture's survival.
We have built trust as our foundation. Trust allows this space to transform—to be gallery, venue, workshop, sanctuary, laboratory, home. Trust is the invisible architecture that makes everything else possible.
Therefore: We demand respect for what we have collectively created.
Vandalism—tagging, graffiti, thoughtless destruction—violates the trust that sustains us. It is not rebellion. It is erasure of the alternative. One selfish act can destroy what hundreds have built. This is mathematical reality. This is moral imperative.
We keep this space clean not from aesthetics but from necessity. Survival depends on collective care.
Proposition: If authentic culture requires autonomous space, And: Autonomous space requires independence from institutional control, And: Independence requires collective support, Then: This space is necessary for culture to exist.
We provide:

This contradiction is our reality. We embrace both truths.
We promise to continue what we started. To keep building. To keep providing. To keep creating the conditions where authentic culture can flourish.
We promise to remain independent—to refuse institutional compromise, to reject corporate logic, to protect autonomy.
We promise to honor every person whose labor, love, and dedication makes this possible.
But we cannot promise survival without collective commitment.
This space is:
DEDICATION × LOVE × LABOR × TRUST × COMMUNITY = POSSIBILITY
Remove any variable, and the equation fails.
We are one year into proving the impossible. We built a custom soundsystem, toilets, walls, home—everything—in 8 weeks. We sustain it through will that exceeds reason.
This is our contribution to Berlin's cultural ecology. Our resistance to the death of autonomous space. Our proof that alternatives exist.
This is not a metaphor. This is material reality.
This is our space. Our creation. Our responsibility. Our shared survival.
We are the equation that solves for culture when the state provides no answer.
